Hey beautiful people!

How are you all?? I am literally suffering right now as I have finals coming up but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! And the nice weather in LA makes it a little easier.

I literally cannot believe we’re already in December. This year has just DISAPPEARED! It’s certainly been one with loads ups and downs but I’ll post about that later. Those of you who have been following me for a while will remember that back at the end of June, I put up a post about my 2015 Hair And Beauty Favourites (So Far!) so I decided to complete the list and tell you about the rest of my favourites (sidenote: make sure to go back and read that post by the way). As I said before, I’m always trying new products but there are always a few that stand out.

HAIR

1) Aussie Moist Conditioner
This conditioner has basically changed my life! Not just because it’s super SUPER moisturising but it comes in a huge bottle and it’s very very affordable (this huge 29 fl oz bottle cost like $6). It also has a lot of slip and it comes in a pump bottle (that sounds trivial but it’s actually extremely helpful!). I have a post about why I decided to start using this conditioner over my usual super organic ones.

Yeah it wasn’t 100 washes lol but I have extremely thick hair!

2) Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Leave-In Conditioner
You guys already know how I feel about JBCO and the fact that the deep conditioner from this line is one of my favourites! JBCO has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties as well as being one of the best oils for thickening and softening the hair. I LOVE this leave in! It is super moisturising and actually has quite a bit of slip, considering it’s a leave in. The consistency is like a medium consistency so I feel it’ll work well for people with thick or thin hair. It also has shea butter and  peppermint, which stimulates the scalp, promoting hair growth.

Comes in a jar for easy access which I really like!

3) Curls Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream
This is a very new discovery (like in the last few weeks) but I really really like this as a leave in. The bottle says it’s a “curl defining and moisturising cream” and I totally agree! It’s thick but not heavy so it won’t weigh your hair down. It smells kinda fruity with a hint of coconut so it smells all tropical and holiday-ish. As well as containing a few of my faves like shea butter and aloe leaf juice, it doesn’t have sulphates, parabens, artificial colours and artificial fragrances.

4) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Okay so those of you who have been following me know I’ve been using EVOO for a long time. Very long time. BUT in the last few months, I’ve increased my use of it and my hair really loves it! I use it for pre-poo or hot oil treatments and I add it to give my deep conditioners an extra oomph! It really softens my hair and gives it this amazing sheen. Also, there aren’t many oils that can penetrate the hair shaft but olive oil is one of them so it’s great for DCs and hot oil treatments. I recommend going for virgin or extra virgin because it has the most nutrients but normal olive oil is still abundant in nutrients!

Lol obviously you all know what olive oil looks like but here you go anyway!

5) Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Hair Masque
I literally want to cry every time I use this deep conditioner because it is SO DARN AMAZING! It smells like the name suggests – a medley of fruit lol. It is SO moisturising and softening, it’s unbelievable. It contains biotin for strengthening and thickening. The superfruit complex is rich in anti-ageing antioxidants – of course, as your hair gets longer, technically it’s older! So you’re likely to need a bit of a boost!

I’ve sadly run out but here’s a picture from sheamoisture.com

SKIN

1) Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser
So there’s a funny story about my skin! Basically, since I moved to LA, my skin has gotten like 20 times drier! Stress. So I had to switch up my face wash to a more moisturising one and I’m really liking this one so far. It is also 99% natural and contains some great ingredients, like castor seed oil, coconut oil and orange oil. It’s really thick and I’ve definitely noticed a change in my skin. This may not be for you if you have oily skin but for anyone looking for moisture, this is your friend!

2) Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion
As you can see, it’s from the same line as the cleanser. I actually started using this product a while back but then I stopped for some reason (I have no clue why lol). Anyway, I started using it again a few months ago and I’m really liking it. It definitely leaves my face feeling soft, smooth and very moisturised. It’s also perfectly fine under make up. This is 99% natural too and has nearly the same ingredients as the cleanser. (P.S. My only issue with the Burt’s Bees products is that they’re a little pricey! But for both, a little goes a long way and they are very good products! You’ve gotta pay for quality I guess!)

3) Sephora Collection Sleeping Masks
This is probably like in my top 3 finds this year. These sleeping masks are AMAZING! OMG! They’re cheap ($4), small and convenient! I simply wash and dry my face and apply before I sleep. When I wake up, my face feels soft, supple and smooth as well as having a nice glow. I like to use them when I’m really tired and my skin is starting to look dull and lifeless. Plus there are different ones depending on what you’re looking for e.g. the pomegranate one (my fave) is anti-fatigue and energising, the honey one is nourishing and balancing etc. Even if you just try one, I urge you to try it!

This is the pack of 6 as you can see and it doesn’t have all the different types in here but you can buy them individually!

4) Bobbi Brown Corrector (in Dark Peach)
I have the world’s worst dark circles (NB: if anyone has any remedies, please let me know!) and concealer just was not cutting it. So I looked around and found this corrector. According to the experts, the orange/peachy colour perfectly covers the blue/black of the dark circles and it seems to be working really well so far. I just dab it on (after my foundation) and blend with my Beauty Blender before I apply my concealer. It’s tiny but you really don’t need much!

It’s kinda hard to see the orangey-ness of the product but I promise it’s a peachy/orangey colour!

So there we go! Those are my 2015 hair and skin favourites! All of these things have reallyyyyy helped my hair and skin improve in the last 6 months. If you try any out, let me know how they work for ya!

  • Awesome product line up! I've been wanting to try Aussie Moist for a while, but I just can't give up on my Trader Joe's Conditioner lol but do you like the 10 N 1 Masque much better than the Shea Moisture Honey Masque? I've been thinking about those two for a while.

  • Oh wow, that's a tough one between the two Shea Moisture masques!! They're both amazingggg products. But I think the 10 in 1 has a slight edge over the honey one. The application is easier and I think it leaves my hair slightly softer!
