Hey hey beautiful people!!
A few days ago, I felt that my face needed a little TLC and I decide to do a little mask just to keep things looking good. As is normal whenever I use this mask, my face came out looking muchhhh better than before I put on that mask so I thought: “tell the world about this mask, woman!”
Hey there! |
1) Aniise Cleansing & Hydrating Mud Masque (buy here)
This mask is the BOMB.COM! Normally, mud/clay masks can be very drying due to the fact that they are cleansing ingredients but this one reallyyyyy leaves my skin feeling hydrated as well as really clean – a plus for me because I have super dry skin. It has some really great natural ingredients, such as glycerin, kaolin clay, grape seed extract and sea mud. My ONLY con is that it’s pretty pricey – $52 (minus tax) for a 2oz jar. However, a little goes a long way and I only use it once every 2-3 weeks (because I alternate with my other masks).
2) Bentonite Clay & Water or Apple Cider Vinegar (buy here and here)
This has been in my arsenal for the longest time! This mask really cleanses the skin and gets rid of impurities. It is super handy for getting ready of pimples (and acne in general). I would also recommend this if you wear lots of make up or work out a lot to make sure your skin stays clean. All you do is mix equal parts of bentonite clay (I use the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay) and water or apple cider vinegar into a thick paste, apply to a cleansed dry face and leave for around 20-25 minutes/until the mask gets hard (if you have sensitive skin, try just 10-15 minutes or try mixing with water). Be sure to use a good moisturiser afterwards to ensure your skin doesn’t get dry.

3) Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask (buy here or here)
This is another new favourite of mine! I picked this up at Sephora on a whim just before a long flight and I really like it. The package claims to be a “refreshing face mask to wake up tired skin”, containing some great ingredients, such as rose water, cucumber extract and aloe leaf juice. It really leaves my skin looking fresh and bright and you only need to leave it on for 10 minutes!
4) Origins Drink Up (buy here or here)
This mask! Wow. As you know, I have dry skin so I need a moisturising mask from time to time. It claims to be a “10 minute mask to quench skin’s thirst”. And it really does leave my skin moisturised, soft and glowing. It contains apricot kernel oil, glycerin and almond oil. It has definitely become one of my staples. Anddddd both Origins masks are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance and other gross things.
